What's your business, and who are your customers?

100% Cashmeir is a team of professional hair stylists and makeup artists. We specialize in wedding day glam.

Tell us about yourself

My motivation is my team. Our goal is to create a safe space for black and brown women to work in their passion. We prove that a team of black woken can unify and be professional, highly skilled businesswomen.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is the new heights we reach each year in business. We have been the wedding day hair and makeup team for season 14 of “Married at first sight,” and we continue to grow from there.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

There can be many hardships as a business owner. But I truly believe that with prayer and perseverance, you can overcome any and everything.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a clear idea of the business you want to start. Research your target market and align yourself with people who also can see your vision.
  2. Set realistic goals for your company. Short-term to long-term goals with dates attached will help you hold yourself accountable.
  3. Be gentle with yourself. Extend yourself some much-needed grace. Everything will not work the first time, don’t beat yourself up about that. Take the lesson from that and move forward.
